PROVO, Utah – Wichita State (2-1) used a career-high 27 kills from to defeat Incarnate Word (2-2), 3-1, in their first match of the BYU Nike Invitational. The Shockers won by scores of 25-27, 25-14, 25-19 and 25-20.
Dunning had a double-double in the match as she also added 11 digs. added a double-double with 50 assists and 11 digs, while collected 10 kills on 20 swings. and led the Shocker defense as Maas finished with 24 digs and Galligan with 23.
The Shockers jumped out early in the first set with three kills from and two from for a 7-3 lead.
