WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State used 19 kills from to defeat UAB, 3-1. The Shockers (12-6, 4-2) won by scores of 25-14, 21-25, 25-23 and 25-13.
Dunning hit .395 in the match and just missed a double-double with nine digs. added 12 kills and had 11 kills, while hitting .526. led the Shockers with 30 assists and added nine digs.
The first set went back and forth until a 5-0 run put the Shockers in front 10-5. The Blazers answered with a 3-0 run to cut it to 10-8, but a 6-0 run put WSU up 16-8.
