CINCINNATI, Ohio – Wichita State scrapped for a season-high 51 rebounds but couldn't overcome another chilly road shooting performance in a 72-62 setback at Cincinnati Sunday afternoon inside sold-out FifthThird Arena.
Fresham Dexter Dennis scored a team-high 14 points and grabbed 13 rebounds on the way to his first career double-double for Wichita State (12-12, 4-7 American), which saw its four-game winning streak come to an end.
Dennis' 13 rebounds were the most by a Shocker this year.
Markis McDuffie had 13 points on 4-of-15 shooting and grabbed five rebounds.
