Day One Complete at Ram Masters

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Zac Owens came within two shots of par on Monday to pace the Wichita State men's golf team through 36 holes at the Ram Masters Invitational.

Owens birdied four of his first nine holes to start the second round and climbed as high as seventh on the leaderboard before hitting a rough patch on the back-nine.

Owens (71-71 – 142) enters Tuesday's final round tied for 24th. Teammate Dawson Lewis (71-73 – 144) is tied for 40th at four-over-par.

WSU ranks 16th in the team standings at +36 – five strokes ahead of Creighton and six back from Cal Poly.
