Cowgirls Hand Shockers First Home Loss

WICHITA, Kan. - Oklahoma State handed the Wichita State its first loss at Charles Koch Arena of the season, defeating the Shockers 60-47 on Tuesday night.

Dawnyel Lair scored a career-high 15 points and grabbed six rebounds, while Jaida Hampton scored eight points in addition to three Shockers adding six points each.

Oklahoma State (5-0) came out of the gates shooting 40 percent on its first 10 shots, but the Shockers held the Cowgirls to a five-minute scoring drought to end the first quarter. The Shockers were held to just 20 percent shooting, giving the Cowgirls 9-7 lead after the first 10 minutes.
