Career Nights Fuel High-Scoring Victory Over Omaha

WICHITA – Three Shockers scored career highs en route to Wichita State's 92-86 victory over Omaha Monday evening in Charles Koch Arena.

Freshman Salese Blow led the scoring with a career-high 19 points, while sophomore Daniela Abies put up a career-high 18 points and 8 rebounds, and junior Ornella Niankan tallied a career-high 16 points with 5 rebounds and a career-high 5 assists.

"It was a big-time team effort," head coach Terry Nooner said. "We showed a lot of grit in the second half and especially in the fourth quarter dealing with some tough fouls and foul trouble throughout the game, but it's always good even when you feel like you don't play your best basketball that you can pull out a win.
