WICHITA, Kan. -- Wichita State right-handed pitcher Clark Candiotti was selected to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll, the conference announced Monday. This is the third consecutive Honor Roll selection and the fourth overall for Candiotti, who was also honored on March 13, March 27, and April 3.
Candiotti was dominant in his first American Athletic Conference home start on Friday against Houston, setting a new career high with 11 strikeouts over a career best-tying 6.2 scoreless innings. The right-hander had a string of seven consecutive strikeouts from the fifth through the seventh, the longest recorded stretch of consecutive strikeouts in the Shocker record book.
