Head Coach Eric Wedge said the Shockers didn’t quite put it altogether to seal a series win against New Mexico State at Eck Stadium this week.
“Yesterday (Friday) we pitched well enough to win but we didn’t hit,” Wedge said. “Today (Saturday) we hit well enough to win today but we didn’t pitch. So we are a little bit inconsistent on both sides of the ball right now but I think the indicators are we are pushing in the right direction.”
On Friday, sophomore Jace Kaminska put together a solid performance on the mound. He had five strikeouts in five innings and allowed four runs on six hits.
