OZARK, Mo. - Led by a career-best performance from Blake Lorenz and four other Shockers in the top 30, the Wichita State men's golf team logged a second place finish at the Missouri State Intercollegiate at Millwood Golf Club.
Oral Roberts erased a late deficit to take the team title (291-278-285--854, +2), besting the Shockers (286-279-291--856, +4) by two strokes. The Golden Eagles Brandon Hoff was individual medalist with a five-under, 208.
Lorenz (71-69-71--211, -2) ended the competition in a tie for third, his best performance as a Shocker. The junior led the field with a 4.
