WICHITA, Kan. - For a third time this season the American Athletic Conference has tabbed Alex Aguilar its Pitcher of the Week.
Aguilar was spectacular in three appearances last week. The freshman was 3-0 with a sparkling 0.37 ERA in 19.0 innings. She threw two complete games, allowing only one earned, while striking out eight. Aguilar opened the week with a standout performance at No. 3 Oklahoma State. She allowed only one run against a top 10 offense in the complete game victory. In Saturday's win over East Carolina, Aguilar recorded her sixth complete game shutout of the season, allowing only three hits and no walks.
