Wichita State will be the No. 6 in next week's Air Force Reserve American Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Championship, Thursday, Mar. 14 through Sunday, Mar. 17 at FedExForum in Memphis, Tenn.
The Shockers (17-13, 10-8 American) will take on No. 11 seed ECU (10-20, 3-15) in Thursday's first round at just after 9 p.m. CT. The winner will face No. 3 seed Temple (23-8, 13-5) in Friday night's quarterfinal round, beginning no earlier than 8 p.m. CT. Both games air on ESPNU.
Winners of four-straight and nine of their last 11 games, the Shockers are one of The American's hottest teams heading into the tournament.
