KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Western Michigan junior forward Richard Zehnal netted his first collegiate goal for his first collegiate point just 35 seconds into overtime to give the 11th-ranked Broncos a 3-2 win over Colorado College at Lawson Ice Arena on Friday night.
With both teams having a man in the box, Hugh McGing found Zehnal trailing at the left circle. Zehnal skated in and went forehand to backhand before putting it past CC goalie Alex Leclerc to blow the roof off of Lawson. McGing picked up his 18th assist of the season and Cam Lee tallied his third helper of the night on the game-winning goal.
