Women's Tennis Picks Up 15 Wins on Day One of the Betsy Kuhle Invite

KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Through doubles and singles, the Western Michigan women's tennis team opened the 2023-24 season with a total of 15 wins on the opening day of the Betsy Kuhle Invitational at WMU's Sorensen Courts on Friday.

Lindsey Zieglar, Valeria Monko, Karin Hamilton, Polina Khotko, Ariana Souligny, Audrey Smitek, and Julia Frazier all picked up two-set wins in singles. Freshman Sofia Balsera needed three sets to earn her first collegiate victory. Frazier also picked up her first singles win of her career, while Khotko earned her first win as a Bronco.
