BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Western Michigan women's tennis team opened the 2016-17 season on a high note at the Hoosier Classic on the campus of Indiana, with the Broncos coming out of day one with an impressive 11-5 record.
"We had a good day overall going 11-5 in singles and doubles," second year head coach Ryan Tomlinson said. "With only four days of team practice, we struggled more in doubles than normal but overall we did a nice job. Looking forward to getting more matches tomorrow and improving each time out."
Each member of WMU played one singles match on day one, with the team finishing 6-2 overall.
