Women's Soccer Nabs Third Consecutive Victory

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan women's soccer team earned its third consecutive victory, defeating Detroit Mercy, 4-1, on Sunday afternoon at the WMU Soccer Complex.

Werthman notched two goals, while Mikayla Coore-Pascal and Heidi Thomasma had the others. Madi Canada, Abigail Baldridge and Jaida Manderson had assists in the match.

It didn't take long for the Broncos to take control of the game, getting a goal from Werthman in the second minute. She followed that up with another tally in the fifth minute to make it 2-0 WMU.
