WMU opened the season with a commanding win over Oakland, 3-1. The Broncos outshot Oakland 13-4 and led the way in corner kicks 9-1. Junior midfielder Colleen McKay and sophomore defender Savannah Bosworth both scored their first career collegiate goals, while senior Emma Kahn added her first goal of the season.
