KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan women's soccer program and WMU Director of Athletics Dan Bartholomae have announced head coach Sammy Boateng has left the program for an assistant women's soccer coach role at the University of Michigan.
Boateng departs after three seasons, posting a 20-24-3 record. Under his tenure the Broncos earned 35 Academic All-MAC selections, eight All-MAC selections and saw Bailey Korhorn break the program's career goal-scoring record.
"It has been a pleasure leading Western Michigan's women's soccer program," said Boateng. "My biggest thank you goes to all the young women I coached in my time at WMU.
