Western Michigan was defeated by Ball State 2-1 in double overtime on Sunday at the WMU Soccer Complex.
A back and forth first half had each team scoring one goal. In the 26th minute, Grace Labadie scored her second goal of the season for the Broncos. Hannah Kahn sent the ball into the middle of the goal box and Labadie tapped the ball into the net.
Ball State returned the favor in the 37th minute, tying the game at one apiece. Melissa Diceman found a Claudia Como on the right wing whose shot rippled through the left corner of the goal.
