Women's Soccer Earns Big Road Win at Akron, 2-1

AKRON, Ohio -- The Western Michigan women's soccer team picked up its third road in win in Mid-American Conference play, taking down Akron 2-1 at FirstEnergy Stadium on Friday night.

All three goals in the game came in the second half, with WMU (6-7-1, 4-2-1 MAC) picking up tallies from Bailey Korhorn and Morgan Otteson. The Broncos held the zips to just three shots on goal, despite being outshot 16-9 overall. Maggie Rogers made two saves in the victory.

"Today was a good result for our team," said interim head coach Sammy Boateng.
