DEKALB, Ill. -- The Western Michigan women's soccer team fell to Northern Illinois, 1-0, on Thursday night at the NIU Soccer Complex.

The Broncos came out aggressive in opening minutes, as had a shot blocked out front and had a nice chance saved by the Huskies' goaltender. Despite the pressure, NIU would get on the board first, taking a 1-0 lead in the 16th minute.
tried her luck with a shot in the 26th minute, but NIU was able to just get a piece. Peters and then had back-to-back looks that the Huskies were just able to keep out of the net.
