CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Western Michigan women's basketball team was picked to finish fourth in the Mid-American Conference West Division according to the preseason poll voted on by the 12 conference coaches, while junior Breanna Mobley was named to the Preseason All-MAC West Division Team.

Central Michigan was tabbed to repeat as MAC Regular Season Champions with 10 first place votes. Toledo, Ball State, Western Michigan, Northern Illinois and Eastern Michigan round out the West Division. In the East, Buffalo was voted to finish first with 10 first place votes while Kent State, Ohio, Miami, Bowling Green and Akron round out the division.
