Women's basketball falls to Ball State in final seconds with MAC tournament bye on the line

After erasing a nine-point halftime deficit and taking a six-point lead to begin overtime, Western Michigan women’s basketball fell in heartbreaking fashion to Ball State on Saturday afternoon at University Arena by a score of 64-63 on Senior Day.

The Broncos had a chance to win the game on the last possession of overtime, but a mid-range jumpshot by Kamrin Reed fell short as Ball State went on a 7-0 run to close the game and snatch the win.

“We got off to a great start in the first two minutes of the overtime but just couldn’t close the door,” head coach Shane Clipfell said.
