KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Western Michigan women's basketball team dropped a Mid-American Conference home matchup versus its in-state rival Central Michigan University on Wednesday evening at University Arena, falling by a score of 87-53.
The Broncos 87 points against stand as a season-high, as they struggled to contain CMU's Reyna Frost, who tallied a career-high 33 points along with 20 rebounds while shooting 14-of-18 from the field.
The Chippewas, ranked No. 8 in College Insider's Mid-Major Top 25 poll, forced 18 WMU turnovers and held a 44-31 advantage in rebounds. The turnovers were costly as the Chips totaled 19 points off Bronco giveaways and led in points in the paint, 48-24.
