The scores were nearly tied for the first quarter, but Toledo ended up dominating over Western Michigan, despite coming close to tying the game with a little less than two minutes on the clock. Overall the Broncos took the most fouls, which led to more free throw opportunities for the Rockets and led to the close win 78-73.
Western Michigan’s top performers for the night were junior forward Breanna Mobley, freshman guard Jordan Walker, junior guard Deja Wimby, and redshirt senior center Marley Hill. Mobley came in with the most points for the Broncos that night while Walker made a close second.
