KALAMAZOO, MI - Injuries whittled Western Michigan's three-headed running back monster down to a single threat, but that didn't make the Broncos' ground game any less dangerous Saturday against Buffalo.
In an expanded role following the loss of Jamauri Bogan and LeVante Bellamy, WMU senior Jarvion Franklin carried the Broncos to an historic seven-overtime road win against the Bulls with 37 carries for 176 yards and four total touchdowns.
His 12-yard rumble in the seventh overtime sealed the 71-68 victory and tied him with Corey Davis atop the program's career touchdown list at 51.
The primetime performance also earned the 6-foot, 235-pound runner offensive player of the week honors for the Mid-American Conference's West Division.
