KALAMAZOO, Mich.– The accolades continue to grow for Western Michigan senior Darius Phillips, who was named to the Paul Hornung Award Week 2 Honor Roll. Phillips was one of five players honored by the Hornung Award, which is given to the most versatile player in major college football.
The Paul Hornung Award presented by Texas Roadhouse is given annually by the Louisville Sports Commission to the most versatile player in major college football.
Also on Monday, Phillips collected his second-straight Mid-American Conference Specialist of the Week honor.
Phillips accounted for both Western Michigan touchdowns this past Saturday in a 28-14 loss at Michigan State.
