WMU women's soccer suffers first defeat this season

Western Michigan women’s soccer picked up its first loss of the season and gave up the first goals of the year in a 2-0 loss to Central Michigan.

The Broncos offense continues to stumble as the team only accounted for three shots on goal to CMU’s nine and nine total shots to 16 for the Chippewas. Jenna Blackburn, Kayla Whelchel and Suzana Shibukawa all had two shots on the day for the Brown and Gold.

Maggie Rogers got the start in net for the Broncos, facing 16 shots on the day and saving seven of them while two shots got past her.
