For the second year in a row, Western Michigan women’s soccer finished undefeated in the Mid-American Conference and creates MAC history to be the first women’s soccer team to have back-to-back undefeated conference seasons. The Broncos took down Northern Illinois and finished the season with an 11-1-6 record overall and an 8-0-3 record in the MAC.
To start the first half, freshman June Mullen and senior Jenna Blackburn attempted shots, but neither managed to score. Then, in the 14th minute, senior Callie Cunningham scored the lone goal of the game with assists from Blackburn and graduate student Jen Blitchok.
