Western Michigan women’s basketball defeated Clearly 70-48 Wednesday. The Broncos improved to 2-4 on the season.
In the first quarter, WMU managed to limit Cleary to only four points and 16.67% from the field. Meanwhile, WMU caught an early lead at ten points. Freshman D’Myjah Bolds had four points through the first ten minutes.
The Broncos worked in the second quarter to create a wider gap. WMU did so with 22 points between five Broncos. Sophomore Evyn Carrier scored with a layup with only 3:38 remaining to push WMU to a 17-point lead.
Cleary fought to close the gap with an 8-0 run.
