Western Michigan women’s basketball team lost 49-80 at Ball State Wednesday. The Broncos drop to 10-16 overall and 5-10 in MAC play. WMU has lost eight of its last nine games after losing leading scorer Lauren Ross due to injury.
Junior forward Taylor Williams was a bright spot for the Broncos scoring 20 points to go along with nine rebounds. She shot an efficient 8-13 from the floor, and no other Bronco reached double figures.
WMU shot just 19-57 (33.3%) from the field and 5-28 (17.9%) from three. The Broncos were outrebounded 33-41 and turned the ball over 17 times to Ball State’s nine.
