The MAC Academic Achievement Award is bestowed to the school in the MAC whose student-athletes have the highest GPA in the conference. The Broncos have won the award more times than any other school in the MAC, winning the inaugural award as well as the subsequent year, going back to back again in 2011-2012, 2012-2013 and once again this past school year.
The only other schools to win the award are University of Toledo and Miami University (Ohio). U of T has won the award three times, while MU has won it twice. The award is presented by the Faculty Athletics Representative.
