WMU win over Idaho gave a 'glimpse' of offense's identity

KALAMAZOO, MI - The first two quarters were anything but pretty.

Western Michigan went into halftime of its Week 3 game against Idaho without a touchdown in its last seven quarters, and the offense showed little indication of getting on track after mustering two field goals and 120 yards before heading into the locker room.

The offense gained confidence in the third quarter, as quarterback Jon Wassink threw his first career touchdown pass, but the Broncos were staring down an 0-3 start after trailing 28-19 heading into the fourth.

From there, WMU dominated Idaho in a fashion previously unseen early in the Tim Lester era, holding the Vandals to -15 yards of total offense, while forcing two turnovers and outscoring the opposition 18-0.
