Western Michigan came away with a sweep of Eastern Michigan this weekend. After winning the first match in three sets by the scores of 25-12, 25-21 and 25-9, the Broncos won Friday’s match in four sets by scores of 25-16, 22-25, 25-16 and 25-23.
The opening match was led by Rachel Bontrager with 11 kills and eight digs on the night, followed closely by Andelyn Simkins with nine kills and 13 digs.
Janell Williams helped the Broncos defense hold Eastern Michigan to a hard to believe .019 attack percentage with a team high three blocks. Logan Case continued her stellar first season with 33 assists.
