KALAMAZOO, Mich.- To enhance existing security measures and expedite venue entry at Waldo Stadium for home Western Michigan football games, a new clear bag policy will be implemented that regulates the size and type of bags that may be carried into event venues. The clear bag policy is effective Sept. 1, 2017.
"In an effort to enhance our stadium security, consistent with best practices adopted around the nation, we are implementing a clear bag policy for the 2017 football season," said WMU Senior Athletic Director Monty Porter. "While we do hope this will increase speed at the gates, for those needing to have bags checked, ultimately this is about creating a more safe environment for all in attendance.
