MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich.- Western Michigan took game one at Central Michigan, 7-2, before being edged in game two, 8-4, as the two Mid-American Conference rivals split a doubleheader Tuesday.
Junior outfielder Erin Binkowski went 3-for-7 with a home run, a double and four RBIs on the day. Her home run was her 10th of the year, tying the Western Michigan single-season record set by Lexi Jager in 2009. Binkowski now has 18 career home runs, moving into a tie for third on WMU's all-time list. Jager holds the career long ball record with 25.
