KALAMAZOO, MI - For the third consecutive season, Western Michigan boasts a pair of running backs considered among the nation's best.
Fifth-year senior Jamauri Bogan and junior LeVante Bellamy were named to the 2018 Doak Walker Award watch list Monday, putting them in the group of 62 vying for college football's top running back honor heading into the 2018 season.
Bogan and Bellamy are one of three sets of teammates on the preseason list, with Arkansas boasting two candidates and Florida State leading the way with three.
The list also includes four other players from Mid-American Conference schools: Eastern Michigan senior Ian Eriksen, Buffalo junior Emmanuel Reed, Miami (OH) senior Kenny Young and Bowling Green sophomore Andrew Clair.
