But after beating soccer programs like the University of Michigan, University of Portland and Butler University, they climbed the top 25 rankings ending the season at number four in the United Soccer Coaches poll.

Posting an overall regular season record of 15-2-1, the Bronco’s earned themselves an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament despite losing in the Mid-American Conference championship to the University of Akron.

Western was placed as a number 10 seed in the tournament, giving them a first-round bye.
