WMU men's soccer falls to Northern Illinois in spite of first half advantage

Western Michigan men’s soccer was defeated by Northern Illinois 3-2 after two goals for the Huskies in the second half.

The Broncos got on the board early at 15:00 with Dylan Sing scoring in his second straight game off of a cross pass by Brennan Creek.

Northern Illinois tied the game in the 35th minute with a goal by Camilo Estrada from the center of the box.

WMU took the lead back in the 39th minute going up 2-1 when Eric Conerty scored his first goal of the season off an assist by Max Keenan.

It was all Huskies from here with two corner kicks given up to NIU’s Adrianna Lara, one in 59th minute and one in the 74th, which gave Northern Illinois the 3-2 victory and snapped the two-game Bronco winning streak.
