The Western Michigan Men's basketball team was picked to finish in fourth place in the MAC West in the 2018-19 Mid-American Conference preseason poll released this afternoon.
Expectations for the Broncos have decreased from a season ago after losing standout guard Thomas Wilder. Last season the Broncos were picked as favorites to win the MAC West.
The annual poll, voted on by the league's 12 coaches and 23 members of media, had Buffalo finishing first in the MAC East by unanimous decision. Buffalo was also picked as the favorite to defend their conference tournament title receiving 25 votes to win the conferences bid via the conference tournament and return to the NCAA Tournament.
