WMU hockey nets season-high 8 goals in win over St. Lawrence

Western Michigan hockey secured its third win in a row Friday night defeating the St. Lawrence Saints 8-2.

WMU wasted no time getting on the board as Paul Washe scored his first goal within the first three minutes of the game to put the Broncos up 1-0. Chad Hillebrand assisted Washe on the goal extending his assist streak to three games.

At the 6:07 mark of the first, the Saints would answer WMU and tie the game up during a 4-on-4 stint. However, the Broncos would regain the lead within a minute as Ethen Frank found the back of the net on a power play to put WMU back on top 2-1.
