WMU hockey names new assistant coach

WMU hockey has announced the promotion of Director of Player Development J.J. Crew to assistant coach.

For the last three years, Crew has helped the program with various operations. Before coming to WMU, Crew has had other stops at the junior and Division I levels. Before getting into coaching, Crew played and lettered for the Broncos from 2008-2012, scoring 20 goals and earning 35 assists to total 55 points in 133 games.

Crew helped the Broncos to back-to-back NCAA appearances back in 2011 and 2012 and was a crucial part of the 2012 team that won the Central Collegiate Hockey Association Tournament Championship.
