WMU Hockey Names J.J. Crew to Director of Player Development Position

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan hockey program and head coach Andy Murray have announced the hiring of J.J. Crew to the position of Director of Player Development.

Crew, a WMU alum, has picked up a variety of coaching experience on his way back to Lawson Ice Arena. After helping the Broncos win the Central Collegiate Hockey Association Tournament Championship in 2012 he graduated with a degree in criminal justice. He then went on to coach in the USPHL Elite league with the Hampton Road Warriors as an assistant coach. From there he moved on to be the head coach of the Colorado Rampage Junior A team of the Rocky Mountain Junior Hockey League from 2015-16.
