The Broncos had a home record of eight wins and only two losses coming into this conference matchup. Although, Miami came out on top, defeating the Broncos 2-5.

Prior to this game, it was evident that WMU had the larger possibility to win, considering Miami had a National Collegiate Hockey Conference record of two wins, three losses, and one tie compared to the bronco’s conference record of five wins and three losses. However, that proved to be irrelevant.

The game was scoreless for the first 12 minutes until Miami struck first off a goal from Gordie Green, who ended the night with two goals.
