WMU football to play BYU in Famous Idaho Potato Bowl

KALAMAZOO, MI - After 12 days of waiting, the Western Michigan found out its postseason fate Sunday, and the Broncos will be heading west to Boise, Idaho, where they'll face Brigham Young in the 2017 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl on Dec. 21.

Kickoff on the blue turf at Albertsons Stadium, which is on the campus of Boise State, is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET.

The Broncos previously played in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl in 2014, when they fell to Air Force 38-24.

It will be the sixth matchup between the Broncos (7-5) and Cougars (6-6) dating back to 1962.
