WMU Falls in Tight Rivalry Contest

WMU Women’s Basketball lost 70-67 against its conference rival, Central Michigan.

It was a very back and forth game, with the lead changing 10 times. This brings the Broncos to 3-9 in the Mid-American Conference and 7-16 overall.

WMU came out hot, shooting 57.14% in the first quarter, but could not keep up the momentum.

Western held a lead at halftime, but CMU won the last two quarters. Despite that, the Broncos had the ball with a chance to tie, but a missed three-point attempt led to the clock running dry.

Alli Carlson led the team with 16 points after missing the game against South Alabama.
