WMU commit looks for one last memory-maker with state finalist Mona Shores

MUSKEGON - The impulse to play the what-if game is strong when one thinks about the type of impact Damari Roberson could be making on the field for Mona Shores' football team.

"Damari is not only one of our best players, but he's one of the best players in the state of Michigan," Sailors coach Matt Koziak declared about his 6-foot-2, 194-pound playmaker, who in June suffered his second serious knee injury in nine months and has missed the entire season.

Look how far Mona Shores has made it with Roberson watching from the sideline. The Sailors (12-1) are one step from winning their school's first football state title.
