Despite the loss, senior forward Thomas Wilder scored an impressive 40 points, with junior guard Josh Davis coming in a far second with 11 and sophomore guard Reggie Jones picking up eight. Davis, however, picked up the most rebounds for the Broncos while Wilder claimed the most assists.
A major impact that held Western Michigan to a loss that night was their inconsistency with free throws and the Rockets netting 13 of 28 3-pointers.
The Broncos started out with a decent start, keeping it close to their highest lead of 10-17. There was then a period of time where neither team was scoring for nearly an entire minute on the game clock and the Rockets tying up the match 21-21 with less than eight minutes left in the first half.
