KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The National Collegiate Hockey Conference announced its weekly award winners, with junior William Whitelaw earning the league's Forward of the Week honor.
Whitelaw was sensational in the Broncos' weekend series against No. 4 Minnesota Duluth, posting two goals, one game-winning goal, seven shots on goal and a +2 rating.
Whitelaw had both of his tallies in Saturday's win, scoring in the second period to tie the game at 1-1. The breakaway tally was his eighth of the season. He wasn't done there, as the Minnesota native would go on to win the game for the Brown and Gold in overtime.
