CLEVELAND – For the third-straight season the Western Michigan men's athletic program has been named the winner of the Mid-American Conference Men's Faculty Athletics Representative (FAR) Academic Achievement Award.
WMU has now won the honors 10 times overall and seven of the last 10 seasons.
"In today's intercollegiate athletics landscape, to be recognized for retaining and graduating our athletes at the highest academic level is an immeasurable pride point," said Western Michigan Vice President / Director of Athletics Dan Bartholomae. "This speaks to the hard work of our student-athletes, and the championship culture our coaches have established in retaining these excellent representatives of our campus.
