KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan softball and head coach Jenny Rohn have announced the signing of pitcher Madysyn Lopez from Indio, Calif., to the team's incoming recruiting class. Lopez is set to join the Broncos this fall and will suit up for WMU beginning with the 2023 season.
"I am so excited to add Madysyn Lopez into the freshman class and have her as a part of our pitching staff," Coach Rohn said. "Madysyn has played for a very competitive travel ball team, the Corona Angels, and is a fierce competitor. Her ability to move the ball around the zone at different speeds will help her have an immediate impact.
